Black Adam kneels before no one.
Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
The two-minute trailer opens in a snowy, mountainous area as an airship brings Teth-Adam to a mysterious, hidden base as we hear a voiceover from Doctor Fate/Kent Nelson (Pierce Brosnan) say, "Black Adam. What have your powers ever given to you...?"
We then see Teth-Adam placed in a cryopod that fills up with containment fluid.
"...Nothing but heartache," continues Kent.
In a flashback, we hear a voiceover from Black Adam explain, "I was a slave until I died. Then I was reborn a god. My son sacrificed his life to save me..."
We then see some soldiers opening fire on Black Adam and we hear a remix of the song "Murder to Excellence" by JAY-Z and Kanye West begin to play. As he begins to levitate, Black Adam continues, "...Now, I kneel before no one."
We see various members of the Justice Society of America -- Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), and Doctor Fate -- getting ready for action as we hear a voiceover from Hawkman say, "In this world...there are heroes and villains. Heroes don't kill people."
Black Adam moves to confront Hawkman, replying, "Well, I do."
Next, we see a bad guy trying to clobber Black Adam with a collapsible metal baton, which only annoys him. Black Adam then throws the guy high into the air to land in a nearby sea.
In another scene, Kent tells Black Adam, "My vision has shown me the future. You have two choices -- You can be the destroyer of this world...or you can be its savior. That's up to you."
As he flies, Black Adam is confronted by two fighter jets, with one pilot gesturing for him to land. Black Adam responds by punching the wing and forcing the pilot to eject.
In the trailer's final scene, following another explosion, Black Adam, now wearing a raggedy, hooded cloak over his costume, confronts a van carrying Adrianna Tomaz (Sarah Shahi) and another man. They proceed to slowly roll up the windows as Adam looks through Adrianna's window. The man warns Black Adam that someone is trying to kill him with a small rocket, but Adam swiftly grabs it before it can strike him. Adrianna and the man are stunned that he caught it and the rocket explodes, but Adam's right hand suddenly appears through the smoke and palms Adrianna's window.
