"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, Kid."
"You don't believe in the Force, do you?"
"Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff. But I've never seen anything to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. There's no mystical energy field that controls my destiny. Anyway, it's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense."

Hello again, movie fans! My wonderful co-host Xan Sprouse and I are back with a new episode of Drunk Cinema! This time, we watch the original theatrical version of Star Wars, the 1977 epic space opera film directed by George Lucas, introducing Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, and Sir Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi!
In this episode, Xan and I discuss things like Star Wars being my all-time favorite movie, Bill Murray's Nick the Lounge Singer singing the Star Wars theme with lyrics on Saturday Night Live, celebrating the 45th anniversary of Star Wars two days late, Xan being a Joe Jackson fan, Xan and I being on the same page regarding Steely Dan, Marvel's first Star Wars comic making Xan's husband Chris want to draw comics, running down the various Star Wars home video releases that we bought over and over again, the rubbish '90s Special Edition CGI to make Han Solo step on Jabba's tail, finally getting the original theatrical versions on DVD, Xan's "blue milk" adult beverage, the four Blue Moons of Yavin, Star Wars getting screwed for Best Picture at the Oscars, Xan getting Kenny Baker to sing "Me and My Shadow", Luke needing a compressed air duster for Artoo, Xan getting turned on by young Peter Cushing, extra crispy Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, Family Guy's brilliant Star Wars parody Blue Harvest, The Story of Star Wars record, the Death Star Space Station action figure playset, the Death Star's lack of safety railings, Luke killing womp rats for no reason, Xan crying at Star Wars movies, needing to wait a month to record our next episode, Xan staying up late to watch the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series, and more!
