In the film, four years have passed since the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he's devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
The two-minute, 30-second trailer opens with Spider-Man checking his phone while sitting upside down on a construction girder. As he watches his friends Michelle "MJ" Jones Watson (Zendaya) and Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) celebrate their first day at MIT without him, the depressed superhero deliberately falls backward and plummets towards the streets below.
Next, as we see Peter lamenting his decision to make his friends forget his existence, we hear him say in a voiceover, "Hi. My name is Peter Parker. You don't remember me, but we used to know each other. Something bad was gonna happen, and the only way to stop it was to make everyone forget about me..."
We see images of MJ and Ned watching Spider-Man receive the key to New York City on TV, then later see that Peter still has the key he received.
"...Because I'm not just Peter Parker," he continues, "I'm...Spider-Man."
The scene abruptly shifts to a battle taking place in Manhattan, with Spider-Man nearly being run over by the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) driving his Battle Van. "What the hell, Frank?!" exclaims Spider-Man. "You just hit me with a van!"
"Quit your whimpering," replies the Punisher, aiming a large gun in Spider-Man's direction. Spider-Man webs the gun shut, to which the Punisher remarks "Suit yourself" as he fires the weapon, blasting Spider-Man backwards until he lands on an armored vehicle directly ahead. Spider-Man uses his webs, to slingshot back at the Punisher, smashing through the Battle Van's windshield and sending the Punisher through the back doors and onto the street.
"Motherfu--" begins the Punisher before Spider-Man webs his mouth shut and tells him to go home before swinging away.
Later, as we see Peter attending a party at MJ's place, his voiceover returns. "And sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker's heart." We see Peter watching from afar as MJ gets romantically close with someone else.
This cuts into a separate scene with Peter asking himself "What is happening to me?" before passing out. He awakens a web cocoon, as we learn the cocoon is hanging outside a building above the street. Peter starts to fall, reflexively trying to use his web-shooters, but realizing he has none. As he falls, he's suddenly saved but we don't know exactly how. The scene hints that Peter saves himself with new organic webbing, similar to Tobey Maguire's version of Spider-Man.
Next, we glimpse Spider-Man in some sort of body scanning device, followed by Peter meeting up with Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) after a university lecture. "Excuse me, Dr. Banner," remarks Peter, "I need your help."
"What did you say your name was?" remarks Bruce.
We then see Spider-Man suffering from changes to his biochemistry. He holds his head in agony after hearing a drop of water and sees webbing all over his apartment. "If DNA is mutating," says Bruce, "it would be enormously dangerous."
As we see Peter laying flowers on the grave of his Aunt May, we hear a narrator (voiced by Keith David) say, "Spiders have three life cycles. When between cycles, it can leave the spider vulnerable to threats."
We see Spider-Man finding an old woman inside the armored vehicle from earlier, followed by S.W.A.T. officers being assaulted mentally by someone with telepathic powers.
The trailer cuts to an office, where a character named Bill (Tramell Tillman) says, "We are faced with a danger that we can't control. One we can't even see."
The scene shifts to the return of the Scorpion (Michael Mando), looking far more impressive in his armored suit than he did in Spider-Man: Homecoming. "Stay out of my way," remarks the Scorpion as he swats Spider-Man with his suit's large tail.
In an assortment of scenes, we see the Punisher tell Spider-Man "You're losing it, kid," followed by Spider-Man with MJ, and Spider-Man using webbing the slow down the armored vehicle from earlier, only to be sent flying into the side of a bus.
The narrator continues, "And for those spiders who make it through, it amounts to a kind of..."
Slo-mo images follow of an homage to the cover of Amazing Fantasy #15(Spider-Man's first appearance), Spider-Man fighting Boomerang, Spider-Man fighting Tarantula, and a member of the Hand attacking a captive Spider-Man, who reveals a pair of dark, black eyes. Spider-Man blocks the ninja's attack with webbing, shattering the sword. We then see a separate slo-mo scene with Spider-Man leaving from the side of a building to face off against a swarm of Hand ninjas.
"...rebirth," finishes the narrator.
In the trailer's final scene, we go back to the party at MJ's place. "Nice flowers," MJ says to Peter.
"Oh, they're...uh...a housewarming gift," replies Peter awkwardly.
"I'm, uh, MJ," she introduces herself as Ned looks on.
"I'm just a neighbor from across the hall."
"A friendly neighbor," MJ remarks as Peter chokes briefly on his drink.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026.
Deadline is reporting that the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Spider-Man: Brand New Dayhas cast Marvin Jones III as the Marvel Comics villain Tombstone. Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the film from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, with Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige producing.
Jones will join returning Spider-Man actors Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Zendaya as Michelle "MJ" Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Michael Mando as The Scorpion/Mac Gargan. In addition, the movie will feature Jon Bernthal reprising his role of The Punisher/Frank Castle, Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as The Hulk/Bruce Banner, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Tramell Tillman.
Jones, 49, is an albinistic actor and rapper who previously voiced Tombstone in the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verseand will return for the sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. In addition, he portrayed DC Comics villain Tobias Whale on the CW TV series Black Lightning and has appeared in episodes of The Equalizer (2024), Halo, and Harry's Law.
Created in 1988 by Gerry Conway and Alex Saviuk, Tombstone first appeared in Web of Spider-Man (vol.1) #36 as Alonzo "Lonnie" Lincoln, a troubled youth who was bullied by his peers because he was the neighborhood's only African-American albino. Taller and stronger than the other children, the young Lincoln started his life of crime in school, extorting protection money from his classmates. The school newspaper, edited by Joseph "Robbie" Robertson, was going to run a story exposing these illegal activities, but pulled it when Lincoln used scare tactics to intimidate Robertson. Lincoln allowed his personal demons to direct the course of his life and dropped out to join the ranks of organized crime.
As a hitman and enforcer, he used his albinism to his advantage. He filed his teeth and nails to points, giving him the appearance of a vampire. This frequently caught his opponents off-guard, making it easier to kill them. He also lifted weights and engaged in many street fights to hone his fighting skills. One night, Robertson, now working for a local paper, went to meet a source only to see the source being killed by Lincoln. He threatened to kill Robertson if the story was brought out. Robertson kept the secret for over 20 years, allowing Lincoln to continue his rise through the criminal underworld.
Now known as "Tombstone" for the many lives he had taken, he returned to New York City as the Kingpin's top hitman. Tombstone eventually returned to Robertson's neighborhood, where the reporter finally worked up the nerve to challenge him. He revealed the decades-old murder to the police, resulting in Tombstone's arrest, but not before Tombstone confronted and seriously injured Robertson, nearly permanently damaging his spine. Tombstone then encountered Spider-Man in Atlanta, but Tombstone was defeated and sent to the Philadelphia State Penitentiary.
During the recent "Gang War" storyline, Tombstone was shot by Shotgun while attending the wedding of his daughter, Janice Lincoln, and Randy Robertson. This triggered the eponymous war as New York City's crime lords battled for his territory. Tombstone formed a truce with Spider-Man and She-Hulk to deal with the gang war. After freeing Shotgun from Madame Masque's control, Tombstone had his gang and the Sinister Syndicate retreat during the final fight between Spider-Man's allies and the Maggia. Back at their base, Tombstone proclaimed to White Rabbit that they were the only gang that now reigned all over New York City, and to convince the other gangsters that he wasn't to be messed with, he planned to publicly kill Spider-Man.
To get to Spider-Man, Tombstone planned to first kill Parker in order to lure the hero out. He pulled up beside Peter and Randy, ordering the former to get inside his limo. Tombstone announced his plan to Peter and went to attack him, only for Parker to dodge most of his strikes. Their skirmish was eventually interrupted by the arrival of She-Hulk and Mayor Luke Cage, having been called by Randy under Peter's instructions. Peter quickly changed into Spider-Man and together with the other two vigilantes knocked Tombstone out to allow the police to arrest him. As Tombstone was accused for attempted murder, he pled not guilty as his trial, but then his daughter arrived to testify against him.
Jones will be the first actor to portray Tombstone in live-action, although the character has also appeared in the animated projects Spider-Man: The Animated Series (voiced by Dorian Harewood), The Spectacular Spider-Man (voiced by Keith David and Kevin Michael Richardson), and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (voiced by Eugene Byrd).
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 21, 2026.
The two-minute, fifty-second trailer opens with a helicopter carrying Dr. Michael Morbius, a scientist suffering from a rare blood disease, to a remote island. As Dr. Morbius slowly exits the helicopter using a cane for support, a soldier asks him, "Do you need a doctor?"
"I am a doctor," Morbius replies.
Flashing back to Morbius' struggles as a child and later helping others as a doctor, we hear his voiceover say, "I should have died, years ago. People all over the world have my disease."
We then seeing him accepting some sort of honor at a formal affair, with another voiceover. "To find a cure, we have to push the boundaries, take the risks."
Back on the island, we see Dr. Morbius deliberately slice the palm of his hand with a machete and hold it up to a strange device positioned directly outside a cave. "If you're gonna run, do it now," he remarks ominously.
We then see a large colony of bats suddenly swarm out of the cave, chasing the group of soldiers back to the helipcopter while Dr. Morbius screams at the cave's mouth.
Next, we hear a slow remix of "People Are Strange" by The Doors, and hear a voiceover from FBI Agent Simon Stroud (Tyrese Gibson) saying, "Dr. Michael Morbius, you've been missing for two months. Then you were found on a container ship that washed up off of Long Island..." After some fleeting images of armed men aboard the container ship being attacked by an unknown assailant, Agent Stroud continues, "...What did you do to yourself, Doctor?"
"Not exactly," replies Morbius as he begins displaying various vampiric abilities. "I have increased strength and speed and some form of bat radar."
In a separate scene, as Morbius wonders to himself "What else can I do?", we see him flying in front of a subway car and rocketing through the tunnels.
Another skyline shot at sunset features Oscorp, hinting at the involvement of Norman Osborn. Martine remarks, "There are limits. There has to be."
"There's something inside of me..." remarks Morbius in a voiceover as we see his hands transform into deadly claws and his face distort into a fanged creature while inside a refrigerated room storing blood. "...It wants to hunt and consume blood."
In a separate scene, Martine comes across Morbius, now with his face resembling his vampiric form in Marvel comics.
Morbius' mentor (Jared Harris) asks him, "Can you control it?" while Morbius replies, "I don't know."
As bodies start to pile up, we see a Daily Bugle newspaper headline read DR. MICHAEL MORBIUS APPREHENDED FOR "VAMPIRE MURDER". We hear Agent Stroud's voiceover say, "Half the city wants to kill you..."
At a crime scene, fellow FBI Agent Alberto Rodriguez remarks, "We haven't had anything this good since that thing in San Francisco."
"...The other half wants to control you," continues Stroud as we see a fleeting glimpse of Loxias Crown (Matt Smith), Morbius' friend who suffers from the same rare blood disease.
In the next scene, we see Morbius the Living Vampire fighting some armed goons while Morbius' voiceover states, "I'd do anything to save a life, but I don't know what I'm capable of."
Next, in a faceoff between Stroud and Morbius, Stroud tells the Living Vampire, "You save lives, you don't take 'em."
Then we hear Jared Harris' character say, "Are you here to heal the world...or to destroy it?"
After seeing Morbius being feral and surrounded by another large colony of bats, we go to the final scene in the trailer, where a hooded Dr. Morbius swiftly grabs the arm of someone attacking him with a knife. He punches the attacker in the throat, who whimpers on the ground and asks, "Who the hell are you, man?"
Dr. Morbius leans menacing over the attacker and says, "I...am...Venom" while baring his fangs and roaring. The attacker is shocked by the transformation until Dr. Morbius reassuringly pats him on the shoulder and says, "I'm just kidding, it's Dr. Michael Morbius, at your service."

If you enjoy sci-fi, fantasy and comic book based entertainment as I do, you already have several must-see flicks and television programs in the pipeline for 2021. With that in mind, I thought I'd go ahead and give a helpful chronological rundown of which geek movie and TV goodness arrives when. Some of these TV shows and films will be worth the long wait, others you wouldn't watch even if they were on Disney+ or HBO Max, but each have their audiences and key target demographics. Start planning your work vacation/sick/personal days accordingly.
Oh, and of course, most of these dates are subject to rescheduling due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Fingers crossed that your favorites are released as currently planned...
