Hello again, everyone! It's time for another new episode of The Fandom Zone Podcast! This time, my co-host DJ Nik and I discuss "Painting the Clouds with Sunshine" & "All the Devils Are Here", the third & fourth episodes of the Netflix series Jupiter's Legacy, featuring Josh Duhamel as The Utopian/Sheldon Sampson, Mike Lanter as George Hutchence, Elena Kampouris as Chloe Sampson, and introducing Ian Quinlan as Hutch!
In this episode, DJ Nik and I talk about things like Nik being able to go back to the bars in Italy, our mutual love of Lovecraft Country, Kurtwood Smith as Clarence Boddicker in RoboCop (1987), Nik wanting to look like TV characters named Nick, Hutch being someone who can procure things for shady characters, Hutch manipulating his crew into pulling heists with him, Hutch and the Power Rod, the reveal that Hutch is the son of George Hutchence, Hutch hitting Chloe Sampson with his van, olde-timey music like "Painting the Clouds with Sunshine", George being the Jupiter's Legacy version of Bruce Wayne...if he acted like Tony Stark, Walter accusing George of feeding Sheldon's fantasies, Jupiter's Legacy demanding your full attention instead of letting you multitask, the 1929 flashbacks appealing to fans of Golden Age comics, George wanting 99 eggs cooked to various degrees for breakfast every day, Chloe being on the path to self-destruction, Chloe being a representation of YouTube-era "celebrities", our attempt to psychoanalyze Chloe, Chloe's nod to the cover of Action Comics (vol.1) #1 and hurling a car at people during her photoshoot, Chloe snorting the bag of unknown crystals that fell out of Hutch's briefcase onto the street, Chloe and Nick of Time having superhero sex, Chloe's landlord's big eviction fail, Chloe transferring her hatred of her mom to Janna, Sheldon ending up on a Kansas farm, Old Man Miller killing himself in front of Sheldon, Old Man Miller's secret basement full of smelly corpses, some news on when the What If...? animated series will premiere on Disney+, new Fandom Zone Fanmail from Holly Mac, Nik's Gold Standard co-host Rachel Frend being happy that they're now discussing movies in color, wanting everyone to be a superhero for Jesse Jackson, Nik discussing the Doctor Who episode "The Vampires of Venice" on Next Stop Everywhere, and more!
