Hello again, everyone! My partner in time Jesse Jackson and I are back with another new episode of Next Stop Everywhere: The Doctor Who Podcast! This time, we discuss "The Curse of Peladon", the second serial from Doctor Who Season 9 in 1972, featuring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Katy Manning as Jo Grant, David Troughton as King Peladon, and the return of the Ice Warriors!

In this episode, Jesse and I discuss things like Jesse getting some good news, my relief at not giving Jesse a bad serial to discuss, Jesse accidentally reading up on "The Monster of Peladon", David Troughton as Patrick Troughton's son and Professor Hobbes in "Midnight", Ysanne Churchman returning as the voice of Alpha Centauri in "Empress of Mars", this being the first Third Doctor story not to feature the Brigadier or UNIT, Jon Pertwee singing the Venusian lullaby to the tune of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", director Lennie Mayne being appalled that the Alpha Centauri costumed looked phallic, the cast shouting "Holy fucking cow" upon Aggedor's entrance, Katy Manning and David Troughton dating during filming, Jo being dressed up for a date with Mike Yates, Jo having to pose as "Princess Josephine of TARDIS", that awkward moment when the real Earth delegate showed up, King Peladon pissing off Jo by asking her to speak for him at the commission, King Peladon being surrounded by old dudes that want something from him, the Doctor calling Jo an idiot for interrupting his hypnotism of Aggedor, Jo being upset after being tempted to stay with King Peladon, the various personalities of the Galactic Federation delegates, the Doctor warning Jo that the Ice Warriors are dangerous only for them to have evolved into a more peaceful race, Hepesh being afraid that the world that he grew up in will be lost by bringing in the Galactic Federation, Grun facing off against the Doctor, the Doctor using a Venusian lullaby on Aggedor, our favorite quotes of the episode, my Reverse the Reverse the Polarity segment, new listener feedback from Dave Proctor, Sandi from Oregon, and Holly Mac, Holly joining us for another Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler Big Finish audio, and more!
