DRUNK CINEMA 067: "The In-Laws (1979)" Is Up!

"Serpentine, Shelly! Serpentine!"
-- Vince Ricardo to Sheldon Kornpett, The In-Laws (1979)

Hello again, movie fans!  My wonderful co-host Xan Sprouse and I are back with a new episode of Drunk Cinema! This time, we're joined by special guest Jesse Jackson as we watch The In-Lawsthe 1979 action comedy film directed by Arthur Hiller, starring Peter Falk as Vince Ricardo, Alan Arkin as Sheldon Kornpett, Richard Libertini as General Garcia, and Ed Begley, Jr. as Barry Lutz!

This time, Xan, Jesse and I discuss things like my hearing our theme song on the radio, Jesse making his debut in the Drunk Cinema Theater, Jesse getting special dispensation from his wife Linda to podcast on a Friday night, our favorite Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor movies, Peter Falk as Sam Diamond in Murder by Death, Alan Arkin in Little Miss Sunshine, Nancy Dussault as Muriel Rush in Too Close for Comfort, Arlene Golonka as the voice of Debbie on Speed Buggy, this movie being our fourth James Hong film, my learning that you can't get Löwenbräu in the United States anymore, my finally getting to turn the tables on Jesse when it comes to story pacing, Patrick McGoohan appearing in multiple Columbo episodes, Shelly getting sued for dental malpractice, wondering why Peter Falk and Alan Arkin never did more movies together, Shelly's car having flames on it, wondering why Shelly keeps listening to Vince, General Garcia stealing his bad guy plan from Auric Goldfinger, new Drunk Mail from Dave Proctor and Christine Peruski, Xan and I finally watching a Hammer horror film on Drunk Cinema, and more!
