Hello again, everyone! DJ Nik and I are back for another new episode of The Fandom Zone Podcast! This time, we discuss "The Case of Crystal Palace", the first episode of the new Netflix series Dead Boy Detectives, introducing George Rexstrew as Edwin Paine, Jayden Revri as Charles Rowland, and Kassius Nelson as Crystal Palace!

In this episode, DJ Nik and I talk about things like Inter Milan becoming the Serie A champions, my joining Nik on Gold Standard: The Oscars Podcast to discuss The Hound of the Baskervilles (1939), director Lee Toland Kreiger directing a lot of comic book TV show pilots, our initial thoughts on Dead Boy Detectives, George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri being older than Doom Patrol's Dead Boy Detectives, Briana Cuoco being the sister of Kaley Cuoco, some comics background on the Dead Boy Detectives, the actors who played the characters in the Doom Patrol episode "Dead Patrol", Dead Boy Detectives being evocative of The Hardy Boys, Encyclopedia Brown, Harry Potter, and Scooby-Doo, Edwin and Charles having a very Odd Couple pairing, my planning to make a custom Dead Boy Detectives soundtrack CD, the cameo by Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, the initial hints that Edwin is in love with Charles, David the Demon being Crystal's toxic ex-boyfriend, changes to the comic book origin of the Dead Boy Detectives, Edwin calling out Crystal for not taking their detective agency seriously, comic book collectors wishing they had Charles' bottomless backpack, Esther as a modern witch, being disappointed that Ruth Connell was cast instead of Michelle Gomez, our favorite quotes of the episode, new Fandom Zone Fanmail from Jesse Jackson, my being a bad influence on Nik, and more!
