"Of all the people in the world, the best and the worst are drawn to Dead Dog, and most turn away. Only those with the purest of heart can feel its pain. And somewhere in between, the rest of us struggle."
-- Irene Littlehorse to Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks: "The Black Widow"
It is happening again...My co-host with the most Xan Sprouse and I are back with a new episode of Ghostwood: The Twin Peaks Podcast! This time, we deep dive into the Dead Dog Farm storyline that ran from Episodes 10 through 13 of Twin Peaks Season 2, featuring Kyle MacLachlan as Dale Cooper, David Duchovny as Denise Bryson, Michael Parks as Jean Renault, and James Booth as Ernie Niles!
LET'S ROCK!
In our latest episode, Xan and I discuss things like Samuel L. Jackson in Captain Marvel, Chad trolling on the internet about Captain Marvel, the Irene Littlehorse spinoff series, wondering who took over the Fat Trout Trailer Park after Carl Rodd died, the two eras of the original Twin Peaks, not caring about the Little Nicky storyline, Cooper owning up to not following proper channels to rescue Audrey, Cooper surrendering his gun, his badge and his black suit, Gordon Cole offering Cooper his support, Dennis Bryson's new status update as Denise Bryson, Hawk thinking Denise wore a good color on her, Denise being the first transgender character on TV, Roger Hardy thinking Cooper should claim he had a psychotic break to make things easier on the FBI, wondering how Albert Rosenfield would've been in Cooper's situation being framed, Jean Renault taking over One Eyed Jack's from Ben, wondering why Audrey and Bobby stopped going to high school, Denise showing that just because she wears women's clothes doesn't mean she's gay for men, Cooper flipping a coin to look for a property, Dead Dog Farm being a fixer-upper, Cooper and Irene finding baby laxative in the sink and cocaine on the chair, Denise calling out Ernie Niles for being gun shy, Ernie's excessive hyperhidrosis, Cooper being deputized by Harry, the Twin Peaks version of the Elks or the Moose clubs, Dennis rocking a douchey bronytail, that awkward moment when Ernie shorts out the wire hidden under his shirt, Jean blaming Cooper for everything bad that happened in Twin Peaks, Denise posing as a Double R Diner delivery waitress, Nadine beating the dominoes right out of Hank, what happened to Ernie after Season 2, speculating what happened to RCMP Mountie Preston King, giving David Duchovny points for coming back as Denise in "The Return", Gavan O'Herlihy in Never Say Never Again, setting up the Windom Earle saga, some feedback from Jeff in Minnesota, the upcoming Time Bandits TV series, Xan appearing on Next Stop Everywhere: The Doctor Who Podcast, BOB wondering what happened to Josie, and more!
Be sure to come back in two weeks for Episode 053, as Xan and I discuss the last days of Josie Packard along with "The Condemned Woman", the sixteenth episode from Twin Peaks Season 2, featuring Joan Chen as Josie Packard, Piper Laurie as Catherine Martell, Dan O'Herlihy as Andrew Packard, and David Warner as Thomas Eckhardt!
