DRUNK CINEMA 077: "Strange Brew" Is Up!

Okay, so good day, movie fans!  My wonderful co-host Xan Sprouse and I are back with a beauty episode of Drunk Cinema! This time, we watch Strange Brewthe 1983 comedy directed by and starring Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas as their SCTV characters Bob and Doug McKenziefeaturing Max von Sydow as Brewmeister Smith, Paul Dooley as Uncle Claude, and Angus MacInnes as Jean "Rosie" LaRose!

This time, Xan and I discuss things like losing Val Kilmer, the song "Take Off" featuring Geddy Lee from Rush, SCTV airing after Saturday Night Live, our favorite seasons of Saturday Night Live, watching the movie over and over on cable, Rick Moranis being a really good Barney Rubble, Angus MacInnes as Gold Leader in Star Wars, testing Xan on which Simpsons episode Max von Sydow is in, Paul Dooley as Wimpy in Popeye (1980), Mel Blanc being "The Man of a Thousand Voices", Bob and Doug's backup plan to release moths in the movie theater, how Max von Sydow ended up in Strange Brew, the lax security at Elsinore Brewery, Max von Sydow playing his role as Brewmeister Smith straight, our favorite movie intermissions, the prosecutor played by Thick Wilson, Doug farting while he's hooked up to a lie detector, Bob drinking an entire storage tank full of beer, Hosehead the dog flying to the Oktoberfest like Superman, what a gaffer does, new Drunk Mail from Christine Peruski, Dave Proctor and Xan Sprouse(???), Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing", why we chose Real Genius to pay tribute to Val Kilmer in our next episode, and more!
