"My life is full because I know I am loved."
-- John Merrick, The Elephant Man

It is happening again...My co-host with the most Xan Sprouse and I are back with a new episode of Ghostwood: The Twin Peaks Podcast!  In this episode, we pay tribute to the late David Lander and discuss the 2020 Criterion Collection Blu-Ray release of The Elephant Man, the 1980 historical drama film directed by David Lynch, exploring interviews with David Lynch, Sir John Hurt, producers Mel Brooks and Jonathan Sanger, and more!

LET'S ROCK!

In this episode, Xan and I discuss things like where we've been for the past month, Xan eating poisoned salad, the passing of David Lander and Tim Pinkle, David Lynch's upcoming Netflix TV series Unrecorded Night (Working title: Wisteria), Roger Corman, John Hurt walking onto the set for the first time in full makeup, Xan falling asleep to audiobooks, Don "In a world..." LaFontaine, John Hurt trying to lose himself in his performance of John Merrick because that's the point, the Elephant Man head scaring off a thief trying to rob John Hurt's house, David Lynch writing the script for Ronnie Rocket and how it led to him becoming the director for The Elephant Man, Mel Brooks supporting Lynch from beginning to end, my battle with Xan over who's the most self-deprecating, Xan's Salacious Crumb cat toy, actual hair from Joseph Merrick being embedded in the plaster cast mold of his head, The Silence of the Lambs having a Twin Peaks connection, David Lynch's 1981 interview at the American Film Institute, DVD and Blu-Ray commentaries giving you insight about how a film is made and pulling you out of the movie, Freddie Jones originally thinking Mr. Bytes was a flat character, Lynch not knowing why Dino De Laurentiis called him to direct Dune, John Hurt saying that if you can get to The Elephant Man without being moved, you're someone he doesn't want to know, Xan and I talking Die Hard on Drunk Cinema, Xan not having seen any Lethal Weapon movies, and more!
