Hello again, everyone! It's time for another new episode of The Fandom Zone Podcast!  In this 250th episode, DJ Nik and I discuss "Sleep of the Just" and "Imperfect Hosts", the first two episodes of the Netflix series The Sandman, introducing Tom Sturridge as Dream/Morpheus, Boyd Holbrook as The Corinthian, and Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne!

In this episode, DJ Nik and I talk about things like Nik and I wanting to forget about the geopolitical state of our world for a little while, celebrating our 250th episode, Nik not bingewatching The Sandman Season 1, my love of The Sandman comics since the '90s, the Netflix adaptation toning down the horror from the comics, the stretched-out aspect ratio, Neil Gaiman being part of DC Comics' British invasion of writers, Neil Gaiman autographing my The Sandman: The Doll's House trade paperback, various attempts to adapt The Sandman as a film since 1991, changes from The Sandman #1, our first reactions to Tom Sturridge as Morpheus, Morpheus being brought low and humbled by his imprisonment, my thoughts on Dream's voice, that awkward moment when Roderick Burgess and his coven perform a ritual to capture Death only to get Dream instead, Ethel Cripps being nice to Alex only to get closer to Roderick, the moment when Alex has his opportunity to free Morpheus only to become just like his horrible father, our first reactions to Boyd Holbrook as The Corinthian, the decision to introduce The Corinthian much earlier in the saga, Lucienne being the Alfred Pennyworth to Dream's Batman, our favorite quotes of the episode, changes from The Sandman #2, John Dee as Justice League of America supervillain Doctor Destiny, Cain and Abel as "hosts" of The House of Mystery and The House of Secrets, Dream absorbing Gregory the Gargoyle so he could become strong enough to summon the Fates, wanting to watch Disney's Hercules after seeing the Fates, Cain's tendency to repeatedly kill and bury his brother Abel, Ethel Cripps not being a great mom to John Dee, Ethel Cripps vs. The Corinthian, some updates on various DC TV projects after the Batgirl film was killed off by Warner Bros. Discovery, new Fandom Zone Fanmail from Jesse Jackson, and more!
