Hello again, everyone! My partner in time Jesse Jackson and I start 2020 off in a big, serious way as we discuss "Spyfall, Part One", the first episode of Doctor Who Series 12, featuring Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor, Stephen Fry as C, Lenny Henry as Daniel Barton, and introducing Sacha Dhawan as the Eighth Master!
In this episode, Jesse and I discuss things like entering the new decade, my being a James Bond geek, the idea of James Bond being a Time Lord, Sacha Dhawan as Davos the Steel Serpent on Iron Fist, Lenny Henry being the first black Doctor in a 1985 Doctor Who parody sketch, Stephen Fry in Doctor Who: Death Comes to Time, BBC America's stupid decision to make the dedication to Terrance Dicks practically unviewable, a guest appearance by Krypto the Superdog, Yaz's sister being interested in Ryan, Ryan and Graham winning at roulette, Graham getting a medical checkup, the Doctor's fondness for motorcycles, Ryan not being cut out for spycraft, Chris Chibnall finally reaching the level of Russell T. Davies and Steven Moffat, Yaz being affected by the transport to the alien dimension, C not being aware that the Doctor was currently a woman, the Master overestimating his own ability to keep himself in charge, Sacha Dhawan's debut as the Master, our reactions to the Master revelation, hoping that Jodie Whittaker's Doctor gets to face off against Michelle Gomez's Missy at some point, wondering if Thirteen's TARDIS has a swimming pool, Daniel Barton being a James Bond villain, our favorite quotes of the episode, my Reverse the Polarity segment, new feedback from Holly Mac, David K. Proctor, Paul Beck and Hannah Skorapa, Jesse and DJ Nik talking The Phantom on Happiness in Darkness, and more!
