GHOSTWOOD 045: "Laura's Secret Diary" is Up!

"Mr. Cooper, how do you find our little corner of this world?"
"Heaven, sir."
"Well, this week, heaven includes arson, multiple homicides, and an attempt on the life of a federal agent."
"Heaven is a large and interesting place, sir."
-- Judge Clinton Sternwood & Special Agent Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks: "Laura's Secret Diary"

It is happening again...My co-host with the most Xan Sprouse and I are back with a new episode of Ghostwood: The Twin Peaks Podcast!  This time, we continue our commentary tracks as we watch "Laura's Secret Diary," the fourth episode from Twin Peaks Season Two, featuring the introductions of Royal Dano as Judge Clinton Sternwood, Claire Stansfield as Sid, and "Fumio Yamaguchi" as Mr. Tojamura!

LET'S ROCK!

In our latest episode, Xan and I discuss things like wondering if Josie bought Peter a stuffed mongoose, the Alan Smithee version of Dune putting Xan to sleep, Best Buy spoiling one of my upcoming Christmas gifts, the slow reveal of the interrogation room soundproofing, another round of "Leland or BOB?", Andy wanting to retake his sperm count test, that awkward moment for Andy when Lucy catches him with a copy of Flesh World, Cooper rocking the old PDA device, the impending arrival of food critic M.T. Wentz, rabbi chili vs. rabbit chili, the legal age for drinking in 1990 Washington state, Harold reading awkward passages of Laura's diary to Donna, Josie pretending to be upset that Catherine supposedly died in the sawmill fire, Jean looking for any excuse to off Emory, wondering if the Sheriff's Department has a recycling program for their doughnut boxes, Cooper's attempt at dealing with Lucy, Hank going overkill on the tablecloths and flowers, the secret Double R booth, whether Josie actually cared for Harry, peeping Jonathan, the Judge Sternwood spinoff series, Dick trying to get Lucy to have an abortion, the slightly racist Mr. Tojamura, David Lynch keeping Fumio Yamaguchi's identity secret from the cast, Cooper going all Rain Man with beer nuts, enjoying Hank getting the crap kicked out of him by Jonathan, Hank moving like a pregnant yak, being willing to write Twin Peaks Season 3 for free, Nadine getting a happy ending in "The Return", Xan completing her Twin Peaks trading cards base set, the passing of Stan Lee, Harold keeping Laura's diary from the police, Xan's cats eating her tissue boxes, and more!
