Marvel Studios Officially Announces Cast for THE FANTASTIC FOUR

And from this moment on, the world will never again be the same!

Variety is reporting that Marvel Studios has officially announced the cast for The Fantastic Four, the upcoming 2025 film based on the Marvel Comics superteam. It's now confirmed that the film will star Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as The Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch/Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm.

Created in 1961 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the Fantastic Four first appeared in Fantastic Four (vol.1) #1 as a group who gained superpowers after exposure to cosmic rays during a scientific mission to outer space. Mister Fantastic, a scientific genius and the leader of the team, can stretch his body into incredible lengths and shapes. The Invisible Woman, Reed's girlfriend and later wife, can render herself invisible and project powerful invisible force fields and blasts. The Human Torch, Sue's younger brother, can generate flames, surround himself with them, and fly. The Thing, Reed's college roommate and skilled pilot for the mission, possesses tremendous superhuman strength, durability and endurance with monstrous, stone-like flesh.

Matt Shakman, best known for Marvel's WandaVision as well as episodes of Game of Thrones and The Boys, will direct The Fantastic Four from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Filming is expected to begin in London by the summer. In addition, Marvel Studios posted the following artwork on X/Twitter, hinting at the FF's uniform designs and potentially a setting of, say, 1961?

Pascal, 48, is a Chilean and American actor best known as the star of The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, and has appeared on episodes of Game of Thrones as Oberyn Martell. He's also appeared in the movies Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Wonder Woman 1984.

Kirby, 35, is an English actress best known as Princess Margaret in the first two seasons of Netflix's The Crown and as Alanna Mitsopolis, a.k.a. The White Widow, in the Mission: Impossible films Fallout and Dead Reckoning Part One.

Quinn, 30, is an English actor best known as Eddie Munson in Season 4 of Netflix's Stranger Things. He's also appeared as Koner in the Game of Thrones episode "The Spoils of War."

Moss-Bachrach, 46, is an American actor probably best known as Richard "Richie" Jerimovich in the Hulu comedy-drama series The Bear. He's also appeared as Micro in the 2017 Punisher TV series and as Arvel Skeen in the Star Wars TV drama Andor.

The Fantastic Four is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 25, 2025.
