STAR TREK: PICARD Season 2 Trailer Teases the Return of Q

As part of Captain Picard Day, Paramount+ has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Picard, once again starring Sir Patrick Stewart as Retired Admiral Jean-Luc Picard.

The one-minute, five-second teaser trailer opens with Picard returning home to Château Picard in La Barre, France and looking for Laris (Orla Brady), his Romulan housekeeper.  Unable to find her, Picard laments, "What the hell is happening here?"

"Excellent question, Jean-Luc," replies a familiar, yet distorted unseen voice.  "Oh, dear. You're a bit older than I imagined."

Recognizing the voice, Picard slowly looks up in horror to find the omnipotent being Q (John de Lancie) standing before him once again.  "Mon capitaine," begins Q, "how I've missed you."

As we cut to Starfleet Command, we see Picard in his Starfleet uniform at a podium surrounded by several other high-ranking Starfleet officers.  "Welcome, my friend," Q remarks in a voiceover, "to the very end of The Road Not Taken."

We see fleeting images of Raffaela "Raffi" Musiker (Michelle Hurd) and Elnor (Evan Evagora), Laris, Soji Asha (Isa Briones), Dr. Agnes Jurati (Alison Pill), and Cristobal "Chris" Rios (Santiago Cabrera), who seems surprised to find himself in a version of a Starfleet uniform.

"Time has been broken," states an unknown female voice in a voiceover.

"We can save the future," remarks Picard in a voiceover, "and I will get us home, together."

In the final scene, we see Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) waking up in bed with the left side of her face hidden by her hand and various objects.  She gets up, stares at an ornate brooch and then looks up into a nearby mirror, startled to find that her Borg implant surrounding her left eye is no longer there, hinting that she is now fully human once again.
