DRUNK CINEMA 062: "Shaun of the Dead" Is Up!

"Shaun! How are you doing?"
"Surviving..."
-- Yvonne and Shaun Riley, Shaun of the Dead

Hello again, movie fans!  My wonderful co-host Xan Sprouse and I are back with a new episode of Drunk Cinema! This time, we watch Shaun of the Dead, the 2004 romantic zombie comedy film directed by Edgar Wright, featuring Simon Pegg as Shaun Riley, Nick Frost as Ed, Bill Nighy as Philip, and Penelope Wilton as Barbara Riley!

This time, Xan and I discuss things like both of us having a pint and waiting for the whole thing to blow over, finally watching the first film in the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, Lucy Davis in The Office UK, not wanting to throw Prince's Batman soundtrack, Peter Serafinowicz in Look Around You, many of the actors appearing in Doctor Who, Shaun failing as a boyfriend, the Death Becomes Her shot, Shaun of the Dead being inspired by the Spaced episode "Art", Edgar Wright wondering what a British person's reaction to a zombie apocalypse would be, Shaun stepping up as a leader, remembering to always take the child locks off in the zombie apocalypse, David being completely useless, Dianne learning that David isn't in love with her, wondering why Zombie Ed doesn't have a mouth guard to prevent him from biting people, new Drunk Mail from Christine Peruski and Dave Proctor, the Fuck Marry Kill order for the Cornetto Trilogy, Richard Dreyfus losing his fucking mind, and more!
