NEXT STOP EVERYWHERE 198: "Gridlock" Is Up!

"I lied to you, 'cos I liked it. I could pretend, just for a bit, I could imagine they were still alive...underneath that burnt orange sky. I'm not just a Time Lord, I'm the last of the Time Lords. The Face of Boe was wrong. There's no one else."
"What happened?"
"There was a war. A Time War. The Last Great Time War. My people fought a race called the Daleks...for the sake of all creation. And they lost. We lost. Everyone lost. They're all gone now. My family. My friends. Even that sky. Oh, you should have seen it, that old planet! The second sun would rise in the south, and the mountains would shine. The leaves on the trees were silver. When they caught the light every morning, it looked like a forest on fire."
-- The Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones, Doctor Who: "Gridlock"

Hello again, everyone!  My partner in time Jesse Jackson and I are back with another new episode of Next Stop Everywhere: The Doctor Who Podcast!  This time, we discuss "Gridlock", the third episode from Doctor Who Series Three in 2007, featuring David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones, Ardal O'Hanlon as Thomas Kincade Brannigan, and the return of Anna Hope as Novice Hame!

In this episode, Jesse and I discuss things like Jesse recording from work, Jesse liking "Gridlock" more the second time than the first, Anna Hope as D.I. Patricia Menzies, Seventh Doctor novel companion Chris Cwej, Lenora Critchlow on the UK version of Being Human, using church hymns on Doctor Who, the UK comic book series 2000 A.D., the Cassinis being the first homosexual couple on Doctor Who, the Tenth Doctor being an arrogant Doctor, Martha refusing to go back into the TARDIS until the Doctor tells her about Gallifrey, wondering how Valerie Brannigan gave birth to kittens, wondering what if the Doctor came across a couple having sex as he was moving from car to car, Brannigan defending the Cassinis from the Doctor, Milo and Cheen kidnapping Martha against her will, the Macra returning to Doctor Who after 40 years, Novice Hame becoming the Face of Boe's Cat Friday, not buying that Captain Jack Harkness eventually becomes the Face of Boe, the Face of Boe's sole purpose being to tease the return of the Master, our favorite quotes of the episode, my Reverse the Reverse the Polarity segment, new feedback from Dave Proctor and Holly Mac, Jesse watching The Umbrella Academy Season 2, Rob Southgate making his Next Stop Everywhere debut, and more!
