NEXT STOP EVERYWHERE 322: "Silence in the Library" Is Up!

"You know when you see a photograph of someone you know, but it's from years before you met them, and it's like they're not quite...finished. They're...They're not quite done yet? Well...yes, the Doctor's here. He came when I called just like he always does, but not my Doctor. Now, my Doctor... I've seen whole armies turn and run away, and he'd just swagger off back to his TARDIS and open the doors with a snap of his fingers. The Doctor...in the TARDIS...Next stop -- everywhere."
-- River Song, Doctor Who: "Forest of the Dead"

Hello again, everyone! My partner in time Jesse Jackson and I are back for our 10th Anniversary episode of Next Stop Everywhere: The Doctor Who Podcast! This time, we discuss "Silence in the Library" and "Forest of the Dead", the eighth and ninth episodes from Doctor Who Series Four in 2008, featuring David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, and introducing Alex Kingston as River Song!

In this special episode, Jesse and I discuss things like Jesse getting me into podcasting, the origin of Next Stop Everywhere, getting Jesse to appreciate the Classic Era of Doctor Who, my wife Lori cursing Jesse's name, Jesse learning to appreciate Donna Noble, my looking at Doctor Who through someone else's perspective, giving thanks to all of our Special Guest Companions, making plans to record our 20th Anniversary episode, this year's Doctor Who news from San Diego Comic-Con, the official announcement of The War Between the Land and the Sea, the debut of River Song, Colin Salmon as General Zod on Krypton, Talulah Riley being the twice-divorced wife of Elon Musk, the chemistry between David Tennant and Alex Kingston, the Tenth Doctor not knowing who River Song is, River backing up her story by telling the Doctor his real name, the Doctor saving River's backup copy, Donna's ideal man being someone who doesn't talk much, Moffat's dick move by having Lee's stammer prevent him from calling out to Donna before she leaves, Dr. Moon being a red herring villain, Moffat making you care about the "red shirt" expendable characters, the Vashta Nerada having their entire ecosystem taken away, wondering how long the the people that were "saved" were gone from reality, the Doctor learning to open the TARDIS by snapping his fingers, our favorite quotes of the episode, my Reverse the Reverse the Polarity segment, new listener feedback from Holly Mac and Dave Proctor, looking forward to "regenerating" our discussion of "Pyramids of Mars" that we originally discussed in 2014, and more!
