Hello again, everyone! My partner in time Jesse Jackson and I are back with a new episode of Next Stop Everywhere: The Doctor Who Podcast! This time, we're joined by special guest companion John Takacs as we discuss "The Seeds of Death", the fifth serial from Doctor Who Season 6 in 1969, featuring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie McCrimmon, Wendy Padbury as Zoe Heriot, and the return of the Ice Warriors!

In this episode, Jesse, John and I discuss things like finally getting John back on the podcast, John's YouTube channel, Jesse preferring "The Krotons" to "The Seeds of Death", what John likes about "The Seeds of Death", the original big, lumbering Ice Warrior design, script editor Terrance Dicks rewriting Episodes 3 and 6 because he considered the original ending lackluster, how Brian Hayles' scripts differed from his original story breakdown, Patrick Troughton not appearing in Episode 4, the rocket footage in Episode 5, Wendy Padbury crawling through wet paint in the leather trouser suit she just bought, the Doctor and his companions manning a rocket to the moon despite having no astronaut training, the Doctor once again doing his best "Batman Exit" disappearance, the Second Doctor showing his darker side by killing Slaar and the Ice Warriors, John's defense of the cowardly Fewsham, Fewsham's somewhat-redeeming moment by duping Slaar into revealing his invasion plans over an open channel, Miss Kelly and Zoe probably getting more scenes together if the story was written in the modern era, wondering who Professor Eldred was going to get to man his side-project rocket before the Doctor and his companions showed up, Eldred giving Commander Radnor "I told you so" looks, Slaar's inherently-flawed invasion plan using a virus that could be destroyed by rain water, the actors having fun with the huge piles of spray foam, the Grand Marshall calling out Slaar for killing everyone on the moonbase who could operate the T-Mat that was a key element of their invasion plan, our favorite quotes of the story, my Reverse the Reverse the Polarity segment, new feedback from Holly Mac, Dave Proctor and Sandi from Oregon, Holly Mac returning to talk "Paradise Towers", and more!
