Hello again, everyone! My partner in time Jesse Jackson and I are back with a new episode of Next Stop Everywhere: The Doctor Who Podcast! This time, we discuss "Rise of the Cybermen" & "The Age of Steel", the fifth & sixth episodes of Doctor Who Series Two from 2006, featuring David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, Billie Piper as Rose Tyler, Noel Clarke as Mickey Smith & Ricky Smith, and the first appearance of the Cybermen in the modern era!

In this episode, Jesse and I discuss things like Jesse getting himself a new recording studio, Jesse thinking we were going to watch "The Next Doctor" instead, my seeing "Rise of the Cybermen" & "The Age of Steel" on the big screen, classic and modern era director Graeme Harper, Roger Lloyd-Pack as Barty Crouch Sr. in the Harry Potter films, "Rise of the Cybermen" being inspired by the Big Finish audio drama "Spare Parts", Jackie Tyler's 40th birthday being a reference to the 40th anniversary of the Cybermen, early drafts featuring "Body Shops" where rich people would buy new cybernetic limbs, Roger Lloyd-Pack breaking his leg just before filming, the Tenth Doctor sometimes not being a very kind person, the Doctor's reaction to the Cybermen being on an alternate Earth, the Cybermen not caring that the Doctor surrendered, wondering why the Doctor never gives his companions a device to reach him in an emergency, Rose trying to get Parallel Jackie to stay with Parallel Pete, Parallel Jackie being a horrible person, Rose getting her dream family in "Army of Ghosts/Doomsday", Mickey realizing that his dead grandmother is still alive on the alternate Earth, the Tenth Doctor and Rose treating Mickey like crap, Jake Simmonds and Mrs. Moore being Almost Companions, Sixth Doctor audio companion Evelyn Smythe, Jesse and his wife going to see Texas wildflowers bloom, wondering why humans think working with the Cybermen will turn out well for them, the Earpods being very prescient to Apple's EarPods, the Cybermen deciding to convert John Lumic into their Cyber Controller before he was ready to be converted, our favorite quotes of the story, my Reverse the Polarity segment, new feedback from Sandi from Oregon, Dave Proctor and Holly Mac, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by the Tokens, our upcoming discussion of "Trial of the Valeyard", and more!
