THE FANDOM ZONE 259: "Whose Show Is This?" Is Up!

"Writers are liars, my dear. Surely you've realized that by now."
-- Erasmus Fry, The Sandman -- "Calliope"

Hello again, everyone! It's time for another new episode of The Fandom Zone Podcast!  This time, DJ Nik and I discuss "A Dream of a Thousand Cats/Calliope", the eleventh episode of The Sandman, featuring Sandra Oh as The Prophet & Arthur Darvill as Richard Madoc, and "Whose Show Is This?", the ninth episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, featuring Tim Roth as The Abomination & Charlie Cox as Daredevil!

In this episode, DJ Nik and I talk about things like the eleventh episode of The Sandman feeling like a bonus present you weren't expecting, Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me", "Calliope" being the first Sandman comic I bought as a monthly reader, Neil Gaiman answering the writer question "Where do you get your ideas?", my wife Lori being an animal crusader, the multiple Doctor Who connections in "A Dream of Thousand Cats/Calliope", changes from The Sandman #17, The Prophet only convincing the Tabby Kitten of her dream, Morpheus as the Cat of Dreams, younger people being more willing to spark the revolution for change, the decision to have the cats speak telepathically, wondering why Erasmus Fry wanted a trichinobezoar, Stephen King probably being upset that Neil Gaiman came up with the story "Calliope" before he did, Morpheus giving Richard Madoc all the ideas he ever wanted in abundance, Morpheus being the worst person to break up with, our favorite Sandman quotes, She-Hulk really embracing the Fourth Wall breaking concept, "Whose Show Is This?" taking some much-needed potshots at the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the introduction of Skaar possibly setting up a World War Hulk movie, some comics background on Skaar, that awkward moment when Nikki infiltrates Intelligencia only to realize that she needs Pug's help because he's a dude, Jen convincing K.E.V.I.N. that her show doesn't need to follow the standard MCU TV show formula, wondering if Jen and Matt will remain a couple, Wong busting the Abomination out of prison yet again, our favorite She-Hulk: Attorney at Law quotes, new Fandom Zone Fanmail from Holly Mac Jesse Jackson, Christine Peruski, and Dave Proctor, Nik getting a two-week break from me before we switch over to TitanTalk: The Titans Podcast, and more!
