Hello again, everyone!  It's time for another new episode of The Fandom Zone Podcast!  This time, DJ Nik and I discuss "Lamentis", the third episode of the Disney+ series Loki, featuring Tom Hiddleston as Loki Laufeyson, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Sasha Lane as Hunter C-20, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer!

In this episode, DJ Nik and I talk about things like Nik's Montreal Canadiens reaching the Stanley Cup Finals, "Lamentis" feeling somewhat like a filler episode and a Doctor Who episode, Kevin Feige leaning on director Kate Herron to keep quiet on spoilers, my feeling that Marvel Studios has long-term plans for Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, the planet Lamentis appearing in the Annihilation: Conquest storyline, the English translation of the lyrics for Loki's song "Jeg Saler Min Ganger", Loki becoming the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first major queer character, the nod to Private Hudson and Corporal Hicks from Aliens, "Lamentis" being much shorter than the first two Loki episodes, more emphasis on the word "enchantment", Sylvie interrogating Hunter C-20 using a dreamscape, Loki and Sylvie being forced to work with one another, Loki asking "What is love?", Nik's thoughts on Dean Martin, Loki's "Love is a dagger" metaphor, not being certain that Sylvie is actually a future version of Loki, the "No ticket" scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the revelation that Mobius and the Time Variance Authority employees are also variants, wondering if Sylvie isn't the series' Big Bad, why the Loki writers can't use Sylvie's "dream twist" too often, wondering if Sylvie is a Loki or an Enchantress from the multiverse, our favorite quotes of the episode, HBO Max working on the Madame Xanadu series Madame X, The Boys adding Laurie Holden as the Crimson Countess for Season 3, new Fandom Zone Fanmail from Holly Mac, and more!
