Superman is about to return, just when we need him the most.
The CW has released the first teaser trailer for Superman & Lois, the upcoming DC Comics Arrowverse series starring Tyler Hoechlin as Superman/Clark Kent and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane.
The 50-second teaser "Family Crest" features voiceover narration by Hoechlin as Superman, accompanied by fleeting images of the two lead characters and their sons, Jonathan Kent and Jordan Kent, played respectively by Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin.
"We all begin as one version of ourselves," remarks Superman in the voiceover, "but as we grow, life changes us. Every moment shaping our character, shifting our priorities, stretching every fiber of our being, until we think we've lost ourselves in the stress of it all."
Superman flashes his traditional red heat vision, a distinct change from the bluish-white heat vision he previously displayed on Supergirl. "But that's not true," he continues, "because under the torn fibers, is a stronger person, forged like steel, with the courage to fight for those we love. And what we thought was lost can be found...in family."
