THE FANDOM ZONE 195: "We Gotta Go Now" Is Up!

"Don't be a pussy.  Laser my fucking tits."
-- Stormfront to Homelander, The Boys: "We Gotta Go Now"

Hello again, everyone!  It's time for another new episode of The Fandom Zone Podcast!  This time, my co-host DJ Nik and I discuss "We Gotta Go Now", the fifth episode of The Boys Season 2, featuring Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Erin Moriarty as Starlight, Antony Starr as Homelander, Aya Cash as Stormfront, and the return of Butcher's bulldog, Terror!

In this episode, Nik and I talk about things like lockdowns during the pandemic, Aerosmith's song "Dream On", the original "We Gotta Go Now" storyline from The Boys comic book series, Garth Ennis and Mark Millar, Katie Couric's daughter writing the episode, Butcher needing to lay low and reunite with his dog Terror, why showrunner Eric Kripke decided to not include Terror as a regular character on the show, Butcher's Aunt Judy being played by an actress named Barbara Gordon, Aunt Judy thinking Butcher has taken to Hughie like Butcher's brother Lenny, Black Noir being Homelander but without his ego and arrogance, Cherie using Kimiko as a hitwoman, the Russian Tracksuit Mafia from Marvel's Hawkeye series, the Joss Whedon rewrite of Dawn of the Seven, Homelander using Elena as leverage on Queen Maeve, A-Train wanting to rewrite his exit from the Seven film franchise, Homelander's PR nightmare, Homelander's fantasy of burning a bunch of protestors with his heat vision, Starlight calling out Stormfront for talking to her mom, Stormfront hooking up with Homelander and having superpowered sex, our favorite quotes of the episode, WandaVision finally getting a premiere date, Peacemaker casting The Vigilante, new Fandom Zone Fanmail from Dave Proctor, my and Xan Sprouse's new podcast Drunk Cinema, and more!
