Tom Hiddleston Wants a Loki vs. Hulk Rematch

It seems the "puny god" still has a score to settle with a certain emerald Avenger.

Actor Tom Hiddleston spoke with MTV News about his upcoming return this fall as the mischievous Loki in Thor: The Dark World and what he hopes for the character's future.  "It's a roller coaster, no question," Hiddleston said of the sequel.  "It's full of ups and downs and loop-de-loops and twists and turns.  It will take you to places you haven't seen before."

"Loki has a very complicated relationship with Thor," remarked Hiddleston of his role in the movie. "He is an agent of chaos without equal in the world he inhabits. He knows his true nature. He knows he doesn't belong in the family of Asgard, and he's locked away in the beginning of the film in the deepest, darkest recesses of the dungeon as public enemy number one."

The movie sees Loki's foster brother Thor faced with the threat of Malekith the Accursed, leader of the Dark Elves.  Thor seeks Loki's aid in stopping Malekith, freeing him from his Asgardian prison after the events of the first Avengers film.  "Lo and behold, Asgard needs his help," teased the actor.  "That's going to be a very complicated allegiance."

However, Loki's future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Thor: The Dark World remains uncertain.  James Spader was recently cast as the lead villain Ultron in The Avengers: The Age of Ultron and director Joss Whedon confirmed that Loki will not be appearing in the Avengers sequel.  However, Hiddleston added that he would like to see a specific rematch at some point.

"I do feel like there's some unfinished business between Loki and the Hulk," he said.  "I feel like he didn't get a fair fight."

Gee, you think?

"Who knows," added Hiddleston. "You'll have to see what happens in The Dark World to find out where Loki finishes up."
